Tia Health

Tia Health is an online platform where you book a phone or video consultation with a licensed provider you choose, who reviews your history and coordinates a blood test before building a plan. Weight loss is one of many services on the same account, and you pay per visit.

Who it suits

Good fit if

  • You want a booked phone or video consultation with a provider you choose.
  • You want the same provider to follow your progress and adjust your plan.
  • You would rather pay per visit than sign up for a monthly membership.
  • You want a choice between pickup at your own pharmacy and free delivery.
  • You want one account that also covers other care, such as mental health, skin or birth control.

Less suited if

  • You want to finish an assessment on your own time without a scheduled call.
  • You want one monthly price instead of paying for each visit.
  • You want coaching or dietitian support built into the program.
  • You want a published follow-up schedule, since Tia Health does not list one.
  • You live outside Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario.

We read Tia Health’s weight loss page and home page on 3 October 2026. This page explains how the service works as Tia Health publishes it. The comparison table and provider card show the same ten fields for every provider, so we do not repeat them here.

How sign-up works

Tia Health describes four steps: meet your provider, build your plan, start treatment, and monitor and adjust your care. You schedule a consultation with a provider you choose. According to its weight loss page, that provider reviews your health history and goals and coordinates a blood test, then reviews your full history and results with you to build a plan. Tia Health’s FAQ is less firm on labs and says your provider may request lab tests.

For its appointments in general, Tia Health’s home page says you click Book Now, choose a video or phone consultation, say who the visit is for, pick a provider, and then sign up or log in to confirm. Its home page also says you can speak with providers by phone, video or secure messaging.

Tia Health says treatment decisions are made by licensed Canadian providers based on your health history, test results and body mass index (BMI, a ratio of weight to height). It says eligibility is often considered at a BMI over 30, or over 27 with a weight-related condition such as diabetes or high blood pressure. The weight loss page does not say whether the provider is a physician or a nurse practitioner. Its home page describes a network that includes family doctors, nurse practitioners, specialists and naturopaths.

What is included and what costs extra

Tia Health charges per visit and has no monthly plan. Its weight loss page lists one price for the initial consultation and a lower one for each follow-up. Both amounts and the date we checked them are in the provider card. Follow-ups are described as regular check-ins for ongoing care, questions and adjustments to your plan. Tia Health does not publish how often they happen, and it does not list coaching or dietitian support.

Medication is a separate cost. Tia Health says medication costs are similar to many local pharmacies, but the pages we read do not list drug prices, so we have not verified that. You can compare what pharmacies charge in our price guides.

The home page says appointments are free in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia with a valid health card for applicable services. The weight loss page lists a consultation fee instead. We have not confirmed how the two fit together for weight loss, so ask Tia Health before you book.

On insurance, Tia Health says many private plans may cover weight loss treatments and that its billing team can help complete the forms for a one-time fee. Which drugs your plan covers is a question for your insurer. See our coverage guides.

How your medication arrives

Tia Health says you can pick up prescribed medication at your preferred pharmacy or have it delivered discreetly to your door, and describes delivery as fast and free of charge. The home page FAQ says a prescription can be delivered for free or sent to a pharmacy of your choice for pickup.

The pages we read do not name a pharmacy or give a delivery time. They also do not name specific drugs. Tia Health’s home page describes its weight loss consultation as covering GLP-1 plans, and its weight loss page says providers may consider Health Canada-approved options. Which medication, if any, is prescribed is the provider’s decision.

Where it is available and what we have not confirmed

Tia Health’s weight loss page says the program is currently available in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario. The pages we read do not state a minimum age. Tia Health is operated by Insig Health, a WELL Health company.

We classify Tia Health as a multi-service platform: one account covers general care, mental health counselling, skin, men’s and women’s health, birth control, urinary tract infections and lab requisitions, with weight loss one service among them. It leans on a scheduled consultation and per-visit follow-ups rather than a form or a membership. Tia Health does not publish a follow-up schedule, a firm lab requirement, or coaching or dietitian support, so we have not recorded them. We have not completed a sign-up. Read our care models guide and providers overview to compare it with other services, or see how we check in our methodology.

We earn a commission when you sign up with some providers through our links. It never changes our prices or how we rank providers. How we rank

This page is not a recommendation and not medical advice. Ask a prescriber or pharmacist whether a GLP-1 is appropriate for you.
